Morphometric features of the sphenoid sinus syntopy according to the computed tomography data.

Purpose. To study the morphometric features of the sphenoid sinus syntopy in order to improve the care quality for the patients with endoscopic surgery. Materials and methods. The data was obtained using computed tomography and ranked by sex. It was proposed that some morphometrical parameters can characterize the sphenoid sinus syntopy: the angle and distance to the upper wall of the sphenoid sinus, to the bottom of the Turkish saddle and the to the back wall of the sinus. Results and conclusions. The results of this work testify that it is necessary to include the proposed parameters in the study protocol.
