Case report of the successful single-stage endovascular treatment of arteriovenous malformation (AVM) of the left hemisphere of the cerebellum with intranidal aneurysm using the non-adhesive embolic agent is presented. Right after that, an implantation of flow diverter was performed to disable the AVM-associated aneurysm of the right vertebral artery from the blood stream. Argumentation of tactic and the review of literature is presented. The authors made the conclusion about the effectiveness of the simultaneous approach for endovascular inter-ventions in patients with the combination of AVM and arterial aneurysms. The location and configuration of existing arterial aneurysms, their relation with the flow of the AVM as well as the presence of intracerebral hemorrhage and its potential source should be taken into account when it is need to choose the methods of treatment and sequence of their applica-tion. |
